It's hard to believe that another year has come and gone! 2021 was a fun and creative year for me, mainly spent in the studio. Besides the usual shop updates, I released two major collections.
The Spring/Summer Mythos Collection featured Lapis lazuli, which has a vibrant history full of legends and lore. This rich blue gemstone was highly sought after by ancient peoples, and even adorned the sarcophagus of King Tut.
I felt this stone was perfect to use for a spring / summer collection: cool, calming tones and a refreshing royal aura.
The Fall/Winter Balance Collection featured calming river stone and poppy jasper. Poppy jasper is also known as the "Supreme Nurturer" and believed to bring stabilizing and grounding energies. Because of that, many people wear poppy jasper as a way to bring feelings of wholeness, peace, and security.
My jewelry was also featured in the Arizona Highways November gift guide. Arizona Highways is a gorgeous magazine that spotlights the beauty and culture of Arizona - helping readers to discover the heart and soul of our beautiful state.
I thought it would be fitting to use my prickly pear rosary and earrings. (shown below on the far right.) I made them using sparkling pyrite and sterling silver!
I am beyond grateful for all of you who have supported me this year, even just by following along or signing up for my updates. You inspire me to continue creating unique, southwestern jewelry and I couldn't do it without you. THANK YOU and happy new year!!
